The UNESCO Madanjeet Singh Centre for South Asia Water Management (UMCSAWM) showcased innovative water management solutions at the University of Moratuwa’s flagship technological exhibition, EXMO 2023, held on July 27-29, 2023.
The inauguration ceremony of the EXMO exhibition was held at the Department of Civil Engineering, and the opening event was held at the UMCSAWM Outdoor Irrigation Research and Demonstration Facility by all the Chief Guest Professor Sampath Amaratunge, Chairman – University Gransts Commission (UGC) and all other guests including the Vice-Chancellor of the University of Moratuwa, and the academic staff of the University of Moratuwa.
UMCSAWM’s participation in EXMO 2023 was a great opportunity to showcase its work on innovative water management solutions to a wider audience. The event also provided a platform for UMCSAWM to network with other stakeholders in the water sector and explore potential areas of collaboration.
UMCSAWM’s innovative water management solutions are essential for addressing the challenges of water scarcity and climate change in South Asia. The centre’s work is helping to ensure sustainable water security for the region.
