INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON ENERGY AND WATER FOR SUSTAINABLE ENVIRONMENT

The 2nd International Conference on Energy and Water for a Sustainable Environment 2026 (ICEWSE 2026) will be held on 05th and 06th October 2026 at the Civil Engineering Auditorium, University of Moratuwa, Sri Lanka. This two-day international conference is jointly organized by the University of Moratuwa, Sri Lanka, and Pondicherry University, India, under the guidance of their respective UNESCO Chairs.

ICEWSE 2026 will bring together academics, researchers, industry professionals, policymakers, and stakeholders from around the world to exchange knowledge, present innovative research, and discuss emerging challenges and practical solutions related to renewable energy, water resources, and environmental sustainability.

The conference programme features distinguished keynote speakers, plenary sessions, and technical presentations, creating an inspiring platform for multidisciplinary collaboration, networking, and international knowledge sharing.

By promoting sustainable energy and water-resource management, ICEWSE 2026 aims to inspire innovative approaches, strengthen international partnerships, and contribute to the development of resilient and sustainable cities and communities.

Conference Proceedings with Springer Nature

Selected full papers from ICEWSE 2026 will be published by Springer Nature in a conference proceedings book volume, providing authors with an opportunity to share their research with the international scientific community.

Submission procedures will be announced on the conference website and communicated to authors via email after the conference. All other accepted abstracts will be published in a separate conference proceedings volume with an International Standard Book Number (ISBN).

UNESCO Madanjeet Singh Centre for South Asia Water Management

Advancing sustainable water management, climate resilience, and regional knowledge collaboration across South Asia.

The UNESCO Madanjeet Singh Centre for South Asia Water Management (UMCSAWM), established at the University of Moratuwa, Sri Lanka, with the support of the South Asia Foundation and UNESCO, promotes education, research, and innovation in water-resources management, climate resilience, and sustainability.

The UNESCO Chair on Sustainable Water Resources Management in South Asia, based at UMCSAWM, strengthens academic and research initiatives while fostering regional collaboration, knowledge exchange, and innovation.
