The University of Moratuwa International Shuttlers’ Fest (UMISF) 2024 concluded successfully on March 15th, 2024, at the university premises. The tournament brought together badminton enthusiasts for a day of competitive matches and camaraderie.

Among the participants making a remarkable mark in the competition was Mr Zarif Apu, a Research scholar studying for his Master’s in Water Resources Engineering and Management at UMCSAWM at the University of Moratuwa under the UMCSAWM scholarship program. Mr Apu displayed exceptional skills and determination, ultimately securing the coveted position of second runner-up.

This achievement not only highlights Mr. Apu’s athletic talent but also serves as a testament to the growing international participation in UMISF. The tournament fosters a spirit of healthy competition and cultural exchange, bringing together students and scholars from various backgrounds.
